Care Guide

JEWELLERY CARE GUIDE

Your jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.

At Gabriele Camilo Jewellery, we craft each piece with meticulous care and attention to detail. We’d love for you to treat your jewellery with the same love to preserve its quality and shine. While our sterling silver and stainless steel pieces can handle some exposure to water, we recommend the following best practices to ensure their longevity:

  1. Remove your jewellery before showering.
  2. Keep your pieces dry, free from moisture, and stored in a cool, dry environment to prevent natural oxidisation.
  3. Put your jewellery on after applying deodorants, hairsprays, cleansers, or perfumes, as these can cause discolouration or corrosion.

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR JEWELLERY

  • Use our Jewellery Cleaning Cloth for easy care.
  • Sterling silver, 18k gold-plated silver, and 18k gold-plated stainless steel may naturally oxidise, creating a greyish hue. To restore the shine, polish your pieces with a soft, lint-free cloth.

MATERIALS GUIDE

What is Sterling Silver?
Sterling silver is a blend of 92.5% pure silver and a small amount of another metal, typically copper, for added strength. Pieces stamped with “.925” meet this industry standard.

What is Stainless Steel?
Stainless steel is a non-corrosive, durable material ideal for everyday wear. Over time, it may develop a unique ombre effect, blending gold and silver hues.

What is Gold-Plated Jewellery?
Gold plating involves bonding a layer of solid gold to a base metal. The thickness of the gold layer determines its longevity and cost. Like all plated jewellery, it will naturally wear over time.

Freshwater Pearls
Our pearls are natural, delicate, and entirely unique—no two are alike. Handle them with care and store them in a box or pouch to avoid scratches, especially when travelling.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are your pieces safe for sensitive skin?
